Dodger Stadium is one of the oldest stadiums currently hosting an MLB team. Built in 1962, Dodger Stadium would be a baseball-exclusive stadium. It would host both the Angels and the Dodgers. Before the Angels played in Anaheim, they would share the venue with the Dodgers.

The stadium seats about 56,000 fans but can hold up to 57,000 fans if some of those fans are standing.

In 2018, after over 25 years, the Dodgers would get to host World Series games again. They faced Mookie Betts and the Boston Redsox. The Dodgers would lose this series in five games.

Dodger Stadium would host several World Series. Several games World Series games were played at Dodger Stadium in 1988. The Dodgers would face the Oakland Athletics in this series.

The Yankees would play the Dodgers again at Dodger Stadium in 1981. The Dodgers would wind up defeating the Yankees again.

In 1977 and 1978, they would face the New York Yankees two times in a row and lose both World Series.

In 1974, the Dodgers would go up against the Oakland Athletics for the first time. They would lose this series to the Athletics in five games.

In 1966, the Dodgers would face the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series.

The Minnesota Twins would make their first World Series appearance in 1965 against the Dodgers. The Dodgers were becoming a powerhouse at this time having been in several world series before. The Dodgers would host more World Series Games at Dodger Stadium and secure another World Series.

In 1963, the Dodgers would play two home games at Dodger Stadium and defeat the New York Yankees in four games.

Even though Dodger Stadium is a baseball-specific stadium, soccer was played there. The stadium hosted a soccer tournament on August 3, 2013. The teams involved were the LA Galaxy, Europe’s Real Madrid, Everton, and Juventus.

Notable concerts included Beyonce, U2, Green Day, and Guns N’Roses. Elton John performed one of his last concerts at Dodger Stadium on November 20th, 2022.

Dodger Stadium has played one of the most historic roles in our culture more than most baseball stadiums. Dodger Stadium was featured in the first Naked Gun film. It is arguably the best professional sports stadium in California.

This stadium has been one of the best-maintained stadiums in North American Professional sports. After several refurbishments, this is still one of the top stadiums to play baseball in. For 62 years, this has been one of the most important sports stadiums in North America.
