What I have learned from producing a paperback book on Amazon
Today anyone can become an author overnight. Amazon has become the primary place online for publishing books, whether it’s in audio format, eBook format, or a regular paperback book.
The hardest part of publishing any book is writing the book. Aside from the marketing aspect of publishing, your story is key to everything. If you don’t have the story, you will have nothing to publish.
Writing a good story can make a difference in how well your book sells. If you write a good story and have a good marketing campaign upfront. Your readers will tend to share your story with other people they know, and your book can also reach new people. My marketing strategy involved me reaching out to my old friends. I would email and call any of my friends that were interested in any of my books and let them know about it.
Designing the book was another challenge. For both my physical copy and an ebook copy of Dribbling Freedom, getting the text to fit on the image was one of the most important things. If you don’t have the text aligned correctly, it will not turn out great. There was two covers total that I had to design. One cover for the eBook and another cover for the physical book. You don’t have to keep a specific image for both. But you should be consistent as possible when designing covers for both your eBooks and physical books.
The main takeaway I had from publishing is that there are some difficulties to overcome when you’re first starting. But once you’ve published your book, you can step back and appreciate your hard work.
